Window Lock Repairs York

Windows come in many forms including wooden, UPVC and aluminium and all bar some wooden windows have a mechanism that's attached to a handle that is either lockable or not.

There are some issues that are fairly common which are lost window keys, snapped or broken window handles, jammed mechanisms meaning the window won't open or close at all or at least as they should. Window hinges can wear and droop causing the window problems when opening and closing.

The spindles that connect the handle to the window mechanism can separate causing the handle to droop.

Wooden windows often have additional locks fitted to sash window frames and these can be put under additional strain if the window does not close properly often leading to either broken or unusable locks.

In addition to all these accidents, burglaries and criminal damage can lead to smashed windows meaning your property is now insecure.
